Goodbye Peanuts...

Ok.. So Sunday morning I wake up and make half a peanut butter sandwich till everyone is up and ready to make breakfast (mom and dad came to visit for the weekend) well all morning I couldn't stop itching. That afternoon we went to our friends Jill and Clays house to grill out and I started having this itching spell again. So we go home and I had been craving boiled peanuts, so I make myself a bowl and watch the movie "The Holiday", well Andy is somewhere in the house doing laundry (he really was :) ) so I eat a peanut then my lip starts itching, so what do I do I eat another one, then my lip itches again so this goes on for almost the whole bowl, when I finally decided something didn't seem right I went into Andy and said "Babe, I think my lip is swollen." His eyes got real big and said go sit down I am going to call my mom. Well Andy doesnt get startled by much so I knew something wasn't right. So after getting in touch with my dr. I took a dose of Benadryl (which of course knocked me out for the night) Andy was such a good husband, he set the alarm every couple of hours to check to make sure I was still breathing ok in my sleep and that my tongue wasn't swelling up. Well, we wake up the next morning and no better. So, after an ER visit and a F/U visit with my Dr. today they concluded I have developed a peanut allergy, so for the rest of the pregnancy I can't eat any peanuts or anything that has peanuts in it. Talk about a lifestyle and diet change. The one time I am supposed to be able to eat whatever is in sight and not worry about weight gain and I can't do it, haha Well of course I don't really care whatever is good for baby. Also at my appt today to check on baby I got to hear the heartbeat, it was so cool to hear. Andy wasn't able to make the appt, but we go back next Wednesday so he will get to hear it then, we both can't wait till then. Thats all for now, hope everyone is well. Thinking of you all!

The Start of Belly Pics

Ok, here are some pics my mom took with her phone so the 2nd one is a little blurry. The first one is me at 5 weeks, the second one is me at 10 weeks. You can definitely see a difference, but in my defense the second pic was just after I ate and even with pooch I haven't put on any weight YET, hehe. Hope you enjoy!

Lots to Update

Ok so there is alot to update on so you may want to get a snack and get comfortable. First of all, I keep hearing this song on the radio and I absolutely love it. It melts my heart every time I hear it. If you haven't heard it you need to. Its by Darius Rucker and its called "It Won't Be Like This For Long". This past week we went to Charlotte for Riley's 5th birthday party. We had a great time, her and blake are so cute, they understand the baby is in the belly, but they don't understand why it stays in there so long, so everytime I talk to them they ask, "Has the baby come out your belly yet? It is so cute! Also Heather and Greg passed down their crib to us so we got to bring that home with us as well. I can't wait to start putting it together. We have received more goodies in the mail, my friend Jen sent me a book called "Belly Laughs" I have really enjoyed it and it definitely makes me realize how much the stuff I am going through is normal. My mother-in-law Amy sent us a note/poem about baby (which was really cute) and a stork that says special delivery, and mom got Andy a "Father to Be" book as well as other toys for baby to play with when we go to visit. I tell you there is no question between all of our family and friends, this baby is going to be well taken care of and loved so much! Not much new with me, I am 10 weeks and 3 days today. I am still exhausted all the time, and its a guessing game each day as to what is going to sound good to eat, the funny thing though is the sickness I was having has turned into actual morning sickness, the past few days I wake up, I get "sick", and I go on with my day, its actually kind of funny since it has turned into a routine. I am starting to get a little bump, but it just looks kind of bloated right now (atleast thats what I tell myself) I will try to post pictures this weekend that my mom took at 5 weeks and 10 weeks. Other than that just waiting till our next appointment. I will try to keep this updated better, but its day by day with baby. Oh, also we all know Andy has made it clear he wants a boy and I don't care either way I just want it healthy, but it will be fun to hear everyone's opinions. Let us know whether you think Baby Burrow is going to be a boy or girl! Hope everyone is well. We love you and miss you all!

Our little Baby Burrow

Well, we had another appointment on Wednesday and needless to say we were there for quiet awhile. I don't think I have ever had to fill out so much paperwork and answer so many questions, oh and give so much blood. The appt went really well though, we got the first pictures of our little one and it was so amazing to see how much the baby had changed since our last ultra sound. I am 8 weeks and 4 days today and our due date is October 12th. I'll try to make a long story short(Im still laughing about it), but you could tell the Dr. knew we were first time parents because she did the ultrasound and told us the due date and then she turned around real quick and said "but that doesn't mean the baby is coming on that day" as if we thought that since she gave us that date it was set no matter what haha. Too funny. Well our next appt is April 1st and we are obviously looking forward to seeing our baby again. I will try to keep this updated better, but by the time I get home from work baby and I are usually ready for bed. Hope all is well with everyone. We miss you and Love you all,
Hilary, Andy, & Baby
